A TRANSFORMATIONAL TREK THROUGH NEPAL
Walk, contemplate, practice, and wander back into yourself through the sacred Himalayan landscape.

Wandering: A Transformational Trek Through Sacred Nepal
A retreat to open our hearts, challenge our bodies, and expand our view.
Wandering has a bad reputation. We've been taught that there is something wrong when we wander from what we are 'supposed to be' doing, when our minds wander during meditation, or when we wander through life unsure of where we're going. We're constantly encouraged to hold tight, sit still, stay focused, and keep moving toward the next destination.

This retreat begins with a different perspective. Wandering isn't something to overcome. It is something we can use intentionally to connect more deeply with our own life.

For centuries, yogis and Buddhist practitioners wandered through the Himalayas, allowing the outer journey to support an inner one. They walked. They rested. They contemplated. They began again. Rather than trying to force healing or transformation, they created the conditions for insight to arise naturally.

Over twelve days we'll practice wandering in this way together.

We'll trek through the sacred hills of Nepal, stopping often to restore our bodies, notice the world around us, and look deeply into our own experience; asking questions without worrying about answers. Then we'll begin walking again, letting go of whatever has come up. without trying to analyze it or fix anything. We'll allow movement, silence, conversation, and meditation to help what we've discovered settle and integrate in its own time.

Along the way we'll visit monasteries, Buddhist villages, and sacred places where the Dharma is an integrated part of ordinary life. We'll experience what it looks like when practice is part of the rhythm of daily life, rather than something extra we have to do.

Throughout our journey I'll share the Buddhist view as it has been passed to me by my own teachers, including Mingyur Rinpoche and Tsoknyi Rinpoche. Together we'll explore these teachings through meditation, contemplation, and direct experience, learning to bring them home into the ordinary moments of our own lives.
